Spa

A one and a half hour drive from New York City, one hour from Hartford/Springfield International Airport, and 20 minutes from the private Oxford Airport, Mayflower is easily accessible. Our philosophy is that if our guests are provided the most elegant yet comfortable setting, your retreat will bear the fruit of success.

Meeting Space
Meeting space includes The Teahouse, our private and state-of-the-art retreat building as well as the Billington and Eaton Suites for more intimate settings.

The Teahouse, by virtue of the fact that it is a separate house, offers the critical retreat component of complete privacy. A three minute walk down the flagstone path, The Teahouse is a classic country cabin with a stone fireplace and deep leather chairs.

The 1,200 square foot meeting space is complimented by a 400 square foot breakout room, just downstairs. A full compliment of audio visual equipment, 2 direct dial phone lines, private fax machine, copy machine, T-1 access, and 2 additional phone lines are on the Tea House premise.

The Billington and Eaton Suites are suited for breakout rooms or retreats for up to 10 guests.

Meals
Recognizing that each retreat has its own character and personality, Mayflower is flexible to the services and needs for each. Meals can be taken in the meeting space, private dining rooms, Verandas, or the Mayflower dining room. Depending on the agenda and guest preferences, we offer plated, buffet, or a la carte meal service. Our Chef and Sommelier take great pride and pleasure in creating special menus and wine pairings for each group.

Activities
Mayflower offers and coordinates any number of activities – team building, golfing, spa treatments, relaxation classes, private tours of antique shops, or biking through the Litchfield Hills.

Spa and Fitness
Our Fitness Center, located in the Mayflower House boasts a full compliment of Paramount equipment, aerobics room, four treatment rooms (facial and massages), steam and sauna. Tennis court and heated swimming pool are also seasonally available and on our 28 acres.

Ms. Amy White, Fitness Manager, will customize each activity to reflect your organization's mission.

The Teahouse
The Teahouse, now in its seventh decade, has a long history as a meeting place. The classic country structure, with its big stone fireplace and deep leather chairs, converts magically into a fully equipped modern facility for conferences, institutional retreats, and cultural lectures. With its wide-screen T.V., V.C.R., overhead projection system, seminar seating, fax and high-tech phone capabilities, it breaks out into the ideal corporate think-tank or business planning center. It has become a favorite of some of this country's most important corporations.

The Teahouse offers any number of uses – perfect for everything from a private reception, intimate reunion, a board-of-directors strategy session, discussion groups to art lectures. Above all, the Teahouse is flexible and services the character and function of very individual meetings.

Some of the country's most important corporations have found The Teahouse to be the ideal corporate-retreat facility. One Fortune 500 company focusing on "future economic directions" particularly praised the ambience and privacy of the secluded building over a bucolic stream that was only a short stroll from the Mayflower rooms and restaurant.

Planning Assistance
A Mayflower Inn coordinator is always on hand to attend to special requests, making sure schedules run smoothly, organizing additional breakout space on the lovely country porch of The Teahouse, or in the breakout room, a short flight down from the main meeting room. The Teahouse can integrate stress management workshops in the Fitness Club, golf can be arranged at a golf course nearby, and conversation has a way of lingering over chess, backgammon, and bridge in the parlor or billiards in the game room.
